The Laravel workbench

Run, debug and share your Laravel apps.

LaraMonster serves every project on your computer, shows what each request did, and opens your site to the internet when you need it. All free. Pro adds Webhooks, Performance, an Event Tracker and Jobs & Queues.

Free forever

Everything your Laravel app needs, built in

A complete local environment for PHP and Laravel, like Laravel Herd, on Linux, macOS and Windows, with a debugger and public links built in. All of this is free. Pro adds Webhooks, Performance, the Event Tracker and Jobs & Queues on top.

Your sites, served instantly

Park a folder and every project in it gets its own .test address, served by a built-in web server that reloads in milliseconds. No nginx, no config files.

Every PHP version

Install several PHP versions, up to 8.5, in one click and pin one per site. php and composer follow the site you’re in.

HTTPS that just works

A local certificate authority your browser trusts, with HTTPS per site.

Databases and services, one click

Start MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mailpit or Meilisearch from the app. Each one shows the .env lines to paste.

  • MySQL / MariaDB
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis / Valkey
  • Meilisearch
  • Mailpit

A mail inbox for your apps

Every email your apps send lands in LaraMonster, not in a real inbox.

New projects in a minute

Pick a starter kit, a PHP version and a database. LaraMonster creates, wires and commits it.

A real desktop app

A native app with a tray icon on Linux, macOS and Windows, plus a command line for everything.

Share it with a public link

Give any site a public https:// address in seconds: show a client, try it on your phone, or receive webhooks. Optional password and end time. No account needed.

PHP extensions, one click

See each version’s extensions and turn them on or off without editing php.ini. Add Xdebug, Redis, APCu or PCOV in one click on Windows, or with your package manager.

Debugger · free

See what every request did.

Pick a site and use it in your browser: each request, queued job and failing command shows up with its dump() output, the queries it ran, its logs and any exception. Nothing to install in your project.

  • dump() and dd() output, with the line that called it
  • Every query with its values filled in, repeated ones flagged
  • Exceptions with the code around them, opened in your editor at the right line
  • laravel.log, readable and searchable next to your requests
  • Xdebug step debugging, on for one site at a time

Webhooks

Know why a webhook failed, and fix it.

LaraMonster finds the routes that receive webhooks, records every delivery with your app’s answer and checks its signature. When one fails, it tells you why, with the exact fix.

  • Stripe, GitHub, Paddle, Shopify, Lemon Squeezy, Slack and more, detected
  • Each signature checked against the secret in your .env
  • CSRF 419s, redirects to login and timeouts, explained with the fix
  • Replay a delivery, signed again so it’s accepted
  • Send signed test events without leaving LaraMonster

Event Tracker

Every event, its data and what it caused.

Turn it on for a site and every event is recorded as your app runs: the payload, the listeners that ran, and the request it came from with its response.

  • Payloads you can read: models, arrays and objects, expanded
  • Listeners in the order they ran, queued ones marked
  • The jobs, mail and notifications each event caused
  • Dispatch any event yourself, with a form built from its constructor
  • Export the whole flow as a PDF guide for your team

Jobs & Queues

Know what a job will do, and when.

Every job in your app, explained in plain words: what it touches, which queue it uses, how often it retries, and where it’s dispatched or scheduled.

  • A plain-language summary of each job’s handle()
  • When it runs: the schedule and the code that dispatches it
  • Run it now, queue it, or paste raw input
  • Queue sizes, failed jobs with retry, and workers you start and stop

Performance

Find what makes your app slow, and fix it.

A checkup scores the settings that cost time on every request and fixes them in one click. Then LaraMonster watches real requests for N+1 and slow queries, and shows how a page holds up with as many users as you choose.

  • A speed checkup: caches, Composer, OPcache, Debugbar and Telescope, fixed in one click
  • N+1 queries with the exact line, and the relation to eager load
  • Slow queries explained and timed, with the table that needs an index
  • Which packages cost your app the most time
  • Load tests with as many users as you choose, as guests or signed in as a real user

Hand your team a guide, not a screenshot.

Export any event, job or recorded run as a clean PDF: what it does, its data, the listeners in order, a real timeline and how to dispatch it. Ready to share in a review or onboarding.

How licensing works

  1. Get a license

Buy one on its own, or own a bundle that includes it. It’s added to your monstersgate.com account.

  2. It’s on your account

Account → LaraMonster shows your license, how long it lasts, and the computer that’s signed in.

  3. Sign in to LaraMonster

Open LaraMonster → Account and sign in with your monstersgate.com email. Your license is picked up automatically.

One device at a time. Signing in on a new computer signs the old one out and emails you, so a shared password never goes unnoticed.

Included with

Bundles that include LaraMonster Pro

If you own one of these, LaraMonster Pro is already in your account. You don’t need one to use LaraMonster: a license on its own is enough.

Bought one of these and don’t see your license? It’s added when your payment is approved. Check your account, or contact us.

Questions

I own a bundle that includes it. Do I need a license?

No. Your license is already in your account (Account → LaraMonster) and LaraMonster picks it up when you sign in with the same email.

What’s the difference between perpetual and time-limited?

A perpetual license never expires. A time-limited one runs for its term from the day your payment is approved; when it ends, Webhooks, Events, Jobs and Performance pause until you add more time. Everything free keeps working either way.

How do I pay?

Pick a license, send the amount with one of the payment methods shown, and add the transfer number and receipt. The license appears in your account once the payment is approved, and you get an email with an Open in LaraMonster button.

Can I use it on two computers?

One at a time. Sign in on the second computer and the first one is signed out (and you get an email). You can see and sign out the device from your account.

Does LaraMonster need the internet?

Only to sign in and to check the license now and then. If you’re offline, Pro keeps working for 3 days after the last successful check.

Is my app’s data sent anywhere?

No. Requests, dumps, payloads, webhooks and jobs stay on your computer. LaraMonster only sends your account sign-in and the device name to Monstersgate. When you open a public link, its visitors’ requests reach you through Cloudflare.

Is a public link safe?

The address is long and random, and it only works while it’s open: until you stop it, its end time passes, or you quit LaraMonster. You can ask visitors for a username and password; webhook routes stay reachable for providers, who can’t log in.

Do I add anything to my project for the Debugger?

No package and no code changes. LaraMonster watches the site from the PHP that serves it. Turn the Debugger off and your project is exactly as it was.

Is LaraMonster on the Microsoft Store?

Yes. On Windows you can install it from the Microsoft Store, which also keeps it up to date. The download on this page works too.

Ready when your app is.
