Dev-Collab — Collaborative Project & Task Management Platform

Dev-Collab is a collaborative project management platform designed for software development teams to organize projects, manage tasks, and work together in one place.

The idea is similar to tools like Jira, but the project is being built from the ground up as a learning-oriented and extensible platform. The goal is to create a system where developers can create projects, break work into tasks, assign responsibilities, track progress, communicate with teammates, and manage project resources.

Technology

The backend is currently being developed with:

The project follows a layered backend architecture with separate controllers, services, repositories, domain entities, DTOs, security components, events, and exception handling.

Current Stage

Dev-Collab is an active work-in-progress project. The core backend architecture and several major features are already implemented, but there is still room to expand and improve the platform.

The project is intentionally being developed in a way that allows new contributors to work on individual features without needing to understand the entire codebase at once.

Who can contribute?
